We came back to the resort/campground in the afternoon after our day exploring the “town” of Lake Quinault … after our slow and easy drive along the south shore of Lake Quinault. We knew we would be leaving after this one last night here. As usual, I didn’t particularly want to leave. Once I get out in the trailer and get settled, I’m pretty happy!
But home was calling to me, and Jan’s home was calling to her. There was laundry to do, and bills to pay, and weeds to pull, and people back home who care, and for me anyway a very comfortable rocking/reclining chair in my living room at home that Towhee the Trailer didn’t have room for.
But still, this trailer is VERY comfortable. If I had it to do all over again, I’d still buy this trailer. She’s the perfect home on wheels and she and the big white truck get along down the road so well together. 🙂

In the photo below, the lake is on the far left. If I come back here, I want that end spot where that Class C motorhome is.

I took the photo below while I was standing in front of my truck, with my back to the truck. The lake is on the right in the photo below. Across the lawn there is a two-story four-plex with each unit rentable. I think Jan made the better choice of renting a charming cabin that shared no walls or floors/ceilings with its neighbors.

This late afternoon was kind of misty/foggy. It was so quiet here and so pretty.

While we were having our suppers, that late afternoon mist cleared and a sweet, soft sunset emerged, so we walked the 100 feet or so to the lake shore to enjoy the sunset and the water.

Just a hint of a breeze created a few tiny wavelets that came to shore. Don’t miss the little person who is perched on the sand in the lower right corner in the photo below. Yes, it’s Little Towhee.

Also in the sand nearby were the tracks below. What are they from? An elephant? A dragon? A dinosaur? Oh my! But Little Towhee knew who had made those tracks … “Just some friendly deer, Ann, it’s ok.”

Watching the sunset and the birds in the sky while sitting on the beach.

The warm glow of that sunset was so nice on the cabins.
And my own little home-away-from-home was so welcoming on my return after our walk.

What a perfect day.
