One voice

The USA is experiencing a new level of racial “energy” right now. I use the word “energy” so as not to make anyone here feel the need to take sides. At least I hope that’s the case. My intent is not to start a debate, but to share something with all of you folks that means a great deal to me. And of course, your comments are always welcome.

I want to share a video with you. It’s a music video, nothing inflammatory, nothing that’s been on the news. It’s the music I want to share … and the message.

The name of the song is “One Voice”. There are a number of songs in the world with that title, but this is the one I really like. This version is performed by The Wailin’ Jenny’s, three very talented singers, with two very talented instrumentalists assisting.

The term “one voice” can mean different things. It can mean one person talking or singing alone (as in the first verse of this song). Or the term “one voice” can mean two or three people talking or singing together … or all of us, the whole world, talking and singing and praying and acting with one voice, one wish, one choice, one hope.

Turn your sound on. Turn your heart on.

Coincidentally (?), while I was writing this blog post, I noticed one lone visitor outside my computer room window. He was the only one there, with his one voice.

Just before he left the area, he snuffled down into the shrubbery for one last bite or two and then, with a swish of his tail, off he went.

Peace, and blessings, to all ….
