Together We Roam

Together we roam. It’s true. We do. Don’t we? We explore the earth together. We explore around our homes … and around our home communities. We explore the counties we live in, the state or province we live in, each entire country we each live in, and we explore other countries and the oceans. We also explore ideas. We explore cooking ideas. And we explore woodworking and quilting and mathematics and astronomy and how to clean the roofs of our homes, and all manner of other things. We explore each other’s heritage … each other’s lives, fears, hopes, dreams, memories, loves. Together, we roam through life sharing life.

Well, those words “together we roam” mean a lot to me. When I first started camping in 2017 in my first RV trailer, I also looked online for travel blogs or vlogs (video blogs). And I found a wonderful (and I mean wonderful!) narrowboat travel vlog in England. I’ve been following these folks ever since. Their vlog is named … you guessed it … Together We Roam. 🙂

They took a little break a few years ago in order to take a caravan/camper trip through Europe. But now they are back on the canals of England, back on the water with their next boat. Their latest vlog post is gorgeous! I’ll give you the link below.

All of the photos here were snagged off their most recent vlog/video post. 🙂 In this particular video of theirs, you don’t see their boat, but you see what a wonderful world they live in, a world they cruise through on their boat … a world they share with us. I could live there on the right in that photo above, and I would love it, watching boats go by, watching the ducks and swans, letting boats park in front of my home, ah me.

In the photo above, the walking path on the left that goes under the bridge was not a walking path originally. It was a “tow path” where the horses walked that were pulling or towing narrowboats along the canals before narrowboats had engines in them. Today people walk those paths or ride their bicycles along those paths.

Take a look at the latest “Together We Roam” vlog post (the link is below, down at the bottom of this blog post) and give them a thumbs up … or a smile … or a nice comment. They were one of the most well liked narrowboat vlogs several years ago, and now they are starting over. Let’s give them some encouragement.

In the photo below, he’s opening the lock gate, and she’s steering the boat into the lock (and the video camera is attached to the bow of the boat). The lock will take them down several feet to the next level of water in the canal.

I’ll tell you, if I could afford to, I’d be over there in England and Scotland on my own narrowboat! Aye, for sure! I don’t know if there are towhee birds in England, but I’d bet my little stuffed towhee would be more than willing to check out the canals of England and Scotland with me.

The photo above shows one snapshot of the cruise in such pristine, beautiful countryside at just the moment when that long green narrowboat came cruising past them. The fellow on that boat waved and said hello, as most folks do.

And HERE is their most recent wonderful cruising vlog. You will love it! Leave them a comment on their vlog if you’d like. I do … even just to say thank you.

Thank you, Dim and Dozy, those are their nicknames (smile) … and thanks to Daisy the cat … for taking us along while you roam the canals and rivers of England, and of life. Together we roam. 🙂

NOTE: I have turned OFF all comments to just this one blog post of mine. I don’t want the thanks or praise or questions or comments … Dim and Dozy deserve that! Check out their current vlog post HERE and turn your sound on, the music is wonderful. You can comment there on their vlog. Please do. 🙂
