Silly stuff

Some days we need a good laugh, yes? So let’s laugh a bit, ok? I sure got a chuckle from some of the images below. I hope you do too. These are some fun images that friends sent me.

But before I share things my friends sent me, I’ll share one from a local business here in Olympia, WA. They post fun sayings on their streetside billboard sign. I’d driven by this sign a number of times before I finally stopped and took a photo. Taco and Nacho. Figure it out. ๐Ÿ™‚

Here are some of the fun photos I’ve recently received from friends. Please keep on sending them to me! ๐Ÿ™‚

Do you have a favorite? I do, but I won’t tell you mine until you tell me yours. ๐Ÿ™‚

I got a good chuckle out of #6. But I liked the fork in the road too. ๐Ÿ™‚ And I really liked the last one, more power to her.

  2. Ben says:

#1 and the very last one. Ok, and #9. ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Melly says:

The upside down ballerina #5, of course, is my favourite! But I love them all!
I love to see funny signs like the first one, then try them on my friends and see if they get it!
Love the giggles Ann!!! Refreshing to say the least!

    • Ann says:

I wondered if #5 might be yours. ๐Ÿ™‚ May all of us live our lives as we see fit, find our paths and follow them.

  4. Wanda says:

#4, the keys in the fridge one. My hubby actually did that! LOL!!!

  5. Judy Bee says:

I love #1, I love plays on words. But #7 surprised me. I didn’t realize there are that many words (and more?!) that don’t follow the i before e except after c rule. what a hoot. Thanks for the chuckles. ๐Ÿ™‚ Never have too many chuckles these days.

    • Ann says:

I didn’t realize there were so many “wrong” words either, Judy, until I saw this image. I thought that was pretty cool. Sometimes, there is no “wrong” eh? ๐Ÿ™‚

  6. M&M says:

#1!!! One of us is hispanic and practically fell off her chair laughing, just sayin’. ๐Ÿ™‚

But the last photo too. It didn’t make us laugh, but it gives us hope.

  7. Henry says:

There is a fork statue bringing smiles next to an intersection here in England. I believe the photo here may be in the US as travel is on the other side of the roadway.

    • Ann says:

You have excellent perception, Henry. Indeed, the lanes in the image used here are as in the USA and not in England. I like that someone has put a fork statue at an intersection somewhere in England too. We all need a sense a humour!

  8. Babe Darby says:

Oh I love the last one, fixing the world. We need more people like her.

But what made me chuckle was the one just above it … the bird “chirp”. How simple and what fun. ๐Ÿ™‚ I have found myself saying “chirp” throughout my day today. It sure is stuck in my head!

  9. Rob Arnold says:

    #1 for sure!
But I also like #3 … why do so many people LIVE on their cell phones!!?!? Shut them off, talk with each other! Go for a walk on the beach, even just down the street, turn your phone off, or at least “mute” it. Can’t tell you how many people I know not only have their cell phones on but they ANSWER them even when they are having lunch or dinner with me even in someone else’s home even while sitting at the table, etc. Yep, pretend it’s 1995 and you don’t even HAVE a cell phone. Believe me, even if you turn your cell phone off, you will continue to live … hard as that may be to imagine … yes you will continue to live. ha!!!
And yes the last one too … she’s our hope. Young folks who are taking the reins need our support.

    • Ann says:

Me too, I have friends who have their cell phones ON and next to them all the time, even when having dinner with friends, even in a restaurant where the ringing of the phone would bother other people as well. When friends come to my house, I ask them to turn off their phones, and I turn mine off too.

And yes, let’s support young people all we can, the ones who are or will be taking the reins, and who care about others and the world. Thank you.

  10. Dawn says:

My favorite? They ALL made me smile. But I think the ‘we don’t have wifi, talk to each other’ one is my favorite…and of course the little girl at the end.

    • Ann says:

That little girl at the end is our hope isn’t she? Maybe that image was made to make people laugh, but I want to help her and every other kid like her with their education wherever that takes her … politics, mathematics, the environment, atmospheric sciences, art, music, the ability to counsel people towards peace … some piece of how to fix this world. Thanks Dawn. ๐Ÿ™‚
