October, 2021
There isn’t anything much better in the world than horses, and blueberries … well, ok maybe a barn here and there, too … and your dog by your side (or in your heart) … well, ok and a quiet, peaceful, lovely high tide in Puget Sound (or British Columbia) in the evening.
This afternoon I drove around the countryside in the larger area around the town of Mossyrock. Seems they like to grow Christmas trees hereabouts. And they have nice old barns that lean just a little bit.

They also have horses!

And tractors!

And especially they have horses that start walking towards you as soon as you jump out of your big white truck …

These two gals were so handsome and friendly.

And then on down the road and around another corner or four, there was another LARGE blueberry farm. It’s late October, so the leaves on the blueberry bushes are changing. They are so pretty.

Even the small, new plants that were planted this season are getting ready for winter.

Oh wait now, these vines below aren’t blueberries! I think they are wine grape vines, also changing leaf color.

And then I headed back to my campsite, but took a different road and crossed a different bridge over the lake and saw a different equally gorgeous view of the lake and the trees.

I’m loving it here, easy to see why, eh?
