Winter wonderland

Brrr!  When I got out of bed this morning, it seemed awfully cold even indoors with the heat on.

I padded down the hall to the kitchen in my slippers and warm fleece clothing.

I opened the kitchen blinds and found out why it felt so cold … snow!

Oh, I do love snow!  Of course, I’m retired and don’t have to go anywhere.  I remember fretting and fuming about snow when I had to drive in snow to get to work.  But now it’s just awfully pretty.  🙂

As you can see, we didn’t have very much snow really, but it was enough to make the world magical for a couple of days.

Snow on the Azalea hedge.

Japanese Snowbell tree above and below (styrax japonicum).

One of the big cedar trees in the back yard.

Why is there snow on my head?

A Geranium dreaming of summer sunshine.

It’s a good time of year to be indoors in a “sticks and bricks” house!

I spent much of this winter studying up on items for the new Escape trailer … sinks, faucets, flooring, upholstery, counter top material … and then ordering what I want for my trailer.  I also made decisions about all of the options that ETI offers that I don’t have to purchase separately.

There were so many details!  I hope I didn’t get mixed up and ask them to build it upside down!  🙂

The people at Escape Trailer helped with lots of information and input.  Their communication has been excellent.  In addition, there is an online owner’s forum where I could see photos and descriptions of what other owners had done with their trailers.  There are lots of different ideas out there … each person fitting out their trailer just exactly the way they want it.  The closer the completion date gets for my trailer, the more excited I get.  🙂  June is coming soon!

Bull-oney on this!  I thought this was summer in Mexico!

I’m with you, snow is beautiful if you can stay inside and look at it.
I was cracking up (age showing) at your comments. You have a great sense of humor.
I feel your excitement over your trailer. Have you had any luck with selling the one you have now?

    • Ann says:

Thanks Ginger. Glad you like the humor. It’s important to me. And fun. Those fence ornaments did seem like they were talking. Who would not realize that?
Since I don’t do a whole lot of stuff outdoors during winters here, I’m planning on catching this blog up to date within the next couple of months, and am planning on reporting about whether the Rockwood MiniLite trailer sold, so I don’t want to say too much here. But I’ll give y’all a hint … the answer is a 3-letter word that starts with a “Y” and ends with an “S”. 🙂 Will report more soon.

    Have you looked at Fiberglassrv.com?
There’s an amazing amount of info available there. I’m eventually going to buy a 13 foot trailer.

    • Ann says:

I’ve heard about the forum at fiberglassrv.com, Adrienne, but I haven’t been there yet. I will now go! Thank you.
That’s exciting about the purchase of a 13′ trailer. Hope it’s exactly what you want and need. Please keep us posted.

That’s not snow, that’s just a little white dust! You want snow, you come over here to Montana and we’ll show you snow! Just funnin’ with you, Ann. There are winters I’ld rather be in Mexico too. Nice pictures, you are really good with that camera.

    • Ann says:

Thanks Tim. I appreciate the compliments. And I just might take you up on that snow-showing some day. I’ll have to put snow shoes on my trailer tho! 🙂

after that bull-oney caption, i’m thinkin’ Travails with Towhee?

    • Ann says:

Ha! Yes, Jan. That bull certainly wasn’t happy about his travails with snow on his head. He would have been travailing south-bound if he had his way about it.
